He holds an MSc in Strength & Conditioning from the University of East London, where he studied as a Chevening Scholar.

His experience includes the Saudi Olympic Training Centre, Saudi national teams, Great Britain and England youth basketball, and Leyton Orient FC. His work also includes supporting elite and professional combat sports athletes, including professional boxer Hamza Sheeraz.

A former guest lecturer and lead S&C coach at the University of East London, Hani brings an educator’s eye to practical coaching. His teaching connects the evidence to the decisions you make with athletes: what to assess, how to programme, how to coach and when to progress.

Course pathway

How the learning progresses

Weeks 1–301

Understand

Audit your current practice, define your coaching philosophy and complete a sport needs analysis.

Weeks 4–602

Profile & programme

Build an athlete performance profile, design a useful testing battery and translate the findings into a 4–6 week programme.

Weeks 7–903

Coach & monitor

Design a complete session, review your own coaching delivery and create a simple athlete-monitoring process.

Weeks 10–1204

Decide & build

Work through real coaching scenarios, create your coaching operating system and finish with a personal development plan.

The purpose

Build the system behind your coaching.

This mentorship is designed to close the gap between knowing training theory and applying it consistently in the real world. You will work through a repeatable process from Needs Analysis → Athlete Profiling → Testing → Programming → Coaching → Monitoring → Review. The goal is to help you make clearer decisions, explain why you made them and build a coaching process you can continue to develop after the mentorship.

How it works

Application-led, not lecture-heavy.

The programme is approximately 70% asynchronous and 30% live. You are given the framework, tools and learning material, then expected to apply them to your own coaching context.

Weekly structure: LEARN → READ → APPLY → TOOL → REFLECT.
Four focused mentor reviews across the 12 weeks.
Week 1: baseline, objectives and practitioner development plan.
Week 4: needs analysis and decision-making review.
Week 8: programming and coaching-practice review.
Week 12: final practitioner review and next-step planning.
Fortnightly progress updates with targeted mentor feedback.

Early-career practitioners.
Coaches transitioning into performance sport.
Existing coaches who want stronger systems and frameworks.
Practitioners looking to improve programming, decision-making and coaching delivery.

Professional development

Build the practitioner, not just the programme.

Where relevant, the mentorship can also support your wider professional development. This may include reviewing your performance CV, professional profile, accreditation pathway, case-study portfolio, networking strategy, placement opportunities and interview preparation.

The outcome

Leave with a coaching system you can actually use.

By the end of the mentorship, you should have a clearer process for assessing athletes, setting priorities, programming, coaching, monitoring and reviewing progress. The intention is not to give you a rigid template. It is to help you build a system you understand, can defend and can adapt to different athletes, sports and environments.

Assessment is part of the learning.

You will build evidence across the course instead of facing one mystery hurdle at the end.
